Building My Blog Site with Flask RestX, Next.js, MongoDB, and BCP Cloud Hosting
The very first program we write is the great Hello World! and this is my first blog on my own made blog website 🤩. I am excited to share with you the journey of how I made this site and the technologies that I used to bring it to life. Let's dive in.
Backend with Flask RestX
The backend of my blog site was created using Python Flask RestX. Flask is a micro web framework written in Python that allows for the creation of web applications with minimal code. Flask RestX, an extension of Flask, provides additional functionality for building RESTful APIs. This allowed me to easily create the necessary endpoints and handle requests from the frontend.
MongoDB as Database
MongoDB is a popular choice for NoSQL databases due to its flexibility and scalability. It stores data in a document-based format, making it easy to store and retrieve data in a flexible way. Additionally, MongoDB allows for easy scaling of data by distributing it across multiple servers, which can handle larger amounts of data and provide high availability.
By using MongoDB as my database, I was able to store my blog posts and other data in a way that was easy to manage and retrieve. MongoDB's document-based approach made it easy to create dynamic data structures and update them as needed.
Frontend with Next.js
Initially, I created the frontend of my site using React. However, I found that it wasn't as SEO-friendly as I would have liked. So, I decided to switch to Next.js, which is a React framework specifically designed for server-side rendering and SEO optimization. By using Next.js, I was able to improve the performance and search engine visibility of my site. The framework allows for easy creation of static websites, which can then be deployed on a variety of hosting platforms.
Hosting with BCP Cloud
To host my site, I chose BCP Cloud, which is Bangladesh's first public cloud service provider that offers Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions. By utilizing their cloud hosting services, I was able to easily deploy my website and ensure that it is accessible to visitors from anywhere in the world.
BCP's cloud hosting platform offers a high level of reliability, scalability, and security, making it an ideal choice for hosting a variety of web applications. Their IaaS solutions provide businesses and individuals with the flexibility to manage their own virtual machines and resources, while BCP takes care of the underlying hardware and infrastructure.
Overall, I am thrilled with the combination of Flask RestX, Next.js, MongoDB, and BCP Cloud Hosting for building my blog site. I am confident that this powerful stack will provide my visitors with a fast, reliable, and enjoyable user experience.
Was this useful? A like tells me what to write more of.
